The busiest domestic travel time in Japan is early in May, when 3 national holidays meet a weekend. This traveling insanity is known as Golden Week. Tessa and I figured that since everywhere would be really busy, we would go somewhere that is always really busy. We went to Tokyo and saw the sites for a few days. Tessa's parents the flew in and met us and we did a whirlwind tour of Central Honshu, seeing the mountains and the coast. Heres some of the pics:
